The 2012-2013 Youth Activist Scholarship Program will award three $1000 scholarships to eligible college bound high school seniors who have demonstrated commitment to civil liberties through some form of activism. Application deadline is January 7, 2013 and the application form is available at www.acluutah.org/scholarship.html
The 2013 Prudential Spirit of Community Awards for 5th through 12th grade students. This scholarship is for students who have engaged in volunteer activity that occurred at least in part after September 1, 2011. Applications must be completed online at http://spirit.prudential.com or www.nassp.org/spirit and submitted to the school principal by November 6, 2012. Scholarships range from $1000 to $5000 and include an all expense paid trip to Washington D.C. with a parent or guardian.
2013 Spirit of America Youth Conference at Valley Forge, Pennsylvania for 11th grade students. Sessions will be held March 7-10 or April 25-28, 2013. Scholarships available to cover the cost of transportation and attendance at the conference. See Mrs. Searle for the application and further details.
2012-2013 Daniels Scholarship. Applications available at www.DanielsFund.org and are due November 29, 2012. The scholarship covers the unmet needs of the student based on the Expected Family Contribution and is renewable for four years.. See Mrs. Searle for additional information.
