Job Description
Position: Special Education Assistant
Hours: 8:45am- 12:00pm or 12:30pm – 3:00pm, M-F (up to 15 hours/week)
Rate: $8.00 -$10.00 depending on qualifications
General Description:
Special Education Assistant will perform duties under the supervision of the Special Education Teacher. The roll of the Special Education Assistant is to assist in the education of students with disabilities.
Responsibilities:
Frequently assess students
Track student data
Daily tutoring of math and/or language arts
Administer computer assessments and computer based educational strategies
Work independently and follow instructions
Education, Experience, Skills Required:
Demonstrate ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English is required.
Demonstrate ability to work with computer programs is required.
Demonstrate Math and Language Arts skills up to high school level.
Demonstrate ability to use basic office equipment.
