American Leadership Academy offers a broad range of academic classes, MATC opportunities and EdNet classes. American Leadership Academy allows students to take advantage of a small student-to-teacher ratio. With a current enrollment of over 1,600 students, American Leadership Academy is growing to meet the needs of our students.
American Leadership Academy also offers a broad range of extracurricular activities, ranging from Football, Basketball, Baseball and Soccer to Band, Choir, Orchestra and many other activities. Our sports teams participate in the 2A classification.
American Leadership Academy has a firm dress and discipline code, and all teachers are licensed through the Utah State Office of Education. Highschool Lagoon Day
The high school Lagoon Day is scheduled for Friday, May 17th. The admission ticket will be $28.00 and the cost of transportation will be $2. The buses will leave for Lagoon at 8:45 a.m. and return to ALA around 6:30 p.m. You will buy your admission ticket at Lagoon, but the transportation cost should be paid to Mandy Law in her office. Tell her that is what you are paying for so that she can make a list of students that will be on the bus. You can pick up your permission slip at the front desk of the high school. It will be Spirit Dress that day. Students should dress for the weather and bring lunch or money to purchase food for the day.
2013 - 2014 Bus Information
We are pleased to once again provide bus service for students at American Leadership Academy during the 2013-2014 school year. Please refer to the "Bus Rates" chart for the cost of your students transportation. Because of demand, buses will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. All routes will be finalized by August 1, 2013, AND ALL MONEY IS DUE AT THAT TIME. If not paid, your student will be dropped from the bus and replaced by someone from the waitlist.

7-12 Grade Spirit Day Dress Code
There have been several updates made to the 7-12 grade Spirit Day Dress Code. If you would like more information on these changes, click here.
2013 - 2014 5th and 6th Grade Fine Arts Registration
If your child will be in 5th or 6th grade during the 2013 - 2014 school year, you need to register for the Fine Arts. It is possible that your child brought home a paper form that you have filled out and returned already, then you have already completed this registration. If your child will be attending ALA for the first time in 2013 - 2014, or if you haven't filled out and returned the paper registration form, click here to register.
UVU Ednet Class Registration
Registration is now open for UVU Ednet Classes for the summer of 2013 and the 2013-2014 school year. If you plan on taking any Ednet classes during the summer of 2013 or the 2013-2014 school year, you need to complete your registration before May 24th. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Pappus or call her at extension 5940.

2013 - 2014 School Year Waitlist Application
It is time to begin the enrollment process for the school year 2013-2014. The process begins with a Waitlist Application that needs to be submitted to the enrollment office by February 28, 2013. Policy Proposals Available for Public Review
The following policies have been proposed. They are now available for public review and comment for two week (begining December 6, 2012) prior to the Board of Trustees' vote on whether to adopt the proposed policies:
New Student Information System: PowerSchool
ALA has transitioned their student information system to PowerSchool. Read the letter from ALA Adminstration on the change and complete the online student information update form.
Submit your student's information (Parent or Legal guardians ONLY)
If you would prefer to not submit your student's information online, you can fill out the following form and return it to Mrs. Dunford (her office is in the Junoir High building).
Carson Smith Scholarship Program
“School districts and charter schools are required by Utah law, 53A1a-704(10), to inform parents of students with IEPs enrolled in public schools, of the availability of a scholarship to attend a private school through the Carson Smith Scholarship Program”.

ALA DRESS CODE DISCIPLINE CHANGES
There have been recent changes made to the Dress Code Discipline procedures as they apply to students attending American Leadership Academy. We ask all parents and students to become acquainted with them in the Director's Newsletter and Discipline Procedures documents below. The new discipline procedures will go into effect on Monday, January 9th, 2012.
